Digital Health and the Protection of Health Information

The informational benefits afforded by the use of ICTs need to be countered with efforts to minimize potential risks to data integrity, confidentiality and system access.  It has become common for health care organizations to formulate information privacy and security policies, informed by jurisdictional and national legislative guidelines and regulations.
