Operationalizing E-Prescribing

E-prescribing can only be performed by health care professionals that are authorized to prescribe (eg. MDs, NPs, midwives, dentists)

Non-prescribing clinicians may be entering patient data such as current medications into the system

Prescribers must review for data accuracy, duplication or the presence of inappropriate therapies
