Data Collection and Decision-Making

The components, capabilities, and processes of most modern health care ICT can be briefly summarized in two major categories:

  • ICT that act as an various interface for data collection, input, or repository related to the management and processing of health care related information; and
  • ICT that possess decision-making functionalities, and use data to assist in the management of clients across the health care continuum.
