Professional and Regulatory Accountability
Advancements in technology have created many tools to support nursing practice and improve patient safety. However, the implementation of new technologies gives rise to the possibility of adverse effects on patients. Adverse events can come from many sources – from the technology itself, issues arising from the policies and process that govern the use of technologies, or user errors.
